The Carob tree has been introduced in Malta and Gozo thousands of years ago. Today it is found growing in almost every corner of the islands. The carob fruit matures in mid Summer and is used to produce this syrup. In local tradition this product is used as a natural remedy to cold and sore throat:-simply adding the syrup to hot water and lemon juice. No artificial flavouring, preservative or colourings are used in this product.

The tangerines used to produce marmalade are grown in the centuries-old orchards situated in the north-eastern valleys of Gozo. Honey

Honey

The North Eastern side of Gozo is characterised by unspoiled locations where wild herbs and trees are abundant. This honey derived from this area and its unmistakable taste is the result of the natural blend of these plants, in particular wild thyme, clover, citrus and carob blossoms. Our pure, raw honey is coming directly from the beekeeper’s hive; it is unheated and unfiltered, this way all beneficial elements of natural honey, like pollen, antioxidants and vitamins are being kept intact. Raw honey will crystallise after a while, a natural process when changing from liquid to solid honey, which does not affect its quality in anyway.

The Tangerines used to produce this liqueur are grown in the century -old citrus orchards situated in the North Eastern side of Gozo. The Tangerines of Gozo are harvested during the winter months when the countryside in Gozo, characterised by the citrus orchards and their bright coloured fruits, produces an amazing scene. The taste of this liqueur is indeed unlike any other, it is fresh and fruity and with a hint of bitterness, the ideal after meal drink. The liqueur is made only from natural ingredients and contains no artificial colouring or flavouring. For this reason there might be a colour variance between batches, which in no way means inferior quality.

No pesticides are used in their cultivation, thanks to the natural resistance of the trees and their close proximity to the sea, whilst traditional cane wind breakers protect their fragile leaves from the strong Mediterranean winds.
